The new Junior High in Petaluma with a 130 year history! The St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Schools proudly offers a junior high program featuring a safe environment, exceptional instructors, high expectations, and a unique experience in the historic, now renovated, original St. Vincent’s Academy Building.
We provide a novel-based, integrated History and English Language Arts offering along with leading programs in math and science. Our small class sizes (20 students at each grade level) allow for personal attention for your student. We integrate technology, utilizing 1:1 Chromebooks for class projects and assignments through Google classroom, research, and in a dedicated technology class. Students learn Google docs, sheets and slides while applying their knowledge and skills to complete projects with real world applications.
Our block schedule model may allow for coordinated offerings at St. Vincent High School such as advanced math, foreign language, jazz band and drama, with their exclusive partner Cinnabar Theater. Additional learning opportunities include:

Dr. John Svitak provides science and advanced math instruction to our students. He holds a B.A. in Chemistry and Mathematics from Rutgers University and a M.S. and PhD Philosophy in Physics from the University of Oregon.
Ms. Caitlin Carciere teaches our students English, History and varying electives. She has B.A. in History and a teaching credential from Dominican University.
Mr. Louis Morton is teaching math. He has a B.S. in Environmental and Systematic Biology from Cal Poly, a M.S. in Zoology from California State University, San Francisco and a teaching credential from California State University, Sonoma.
